Holland Lop Does
Below are the current does residing in my rabbitry and contributing to my BEW development. They are not for sale unless noted. We use mostly torts, blacks, blues and an occasional orange to improve the BEW type, but we also occasionally breed non-vienna gene carriers to each other to remain competitive on the show table and to continue to improve our breeding stock.
Blue Eyed Whites
Vienna Carriers and Vienna Marked
SPH's Rude with a 'Tude
Sire: SPH's Cotton - BEW
Dam: Blue Sapphire's Venia - BEW Variety: BEW Legs: none Rude is a pretty brood doe that is littermate to SPH's Swabs. She's a touch long through the shoulders, but is wide and has nice type. Quite possibly the best head, ear and crown on a doe in the rabbitry, and owns spunky, "I'm in charge" personality. She can be rude while posing, hence her appropriate name. She has been shown and has placed as high as 2nd in a class of 17 does. |
SPH's Blue Roses
Sire: SPH's Cotton - BEW
|
SPH's Skylark
Sire: Blue Sapphire's Kazzam - BEW
Dam: SPH's Wren - BEW Variety: tort VC Legs: none Skylark is a pretty brood doe that has produced some very nice offspring, including BEW buck SPH's Squeegee, a buck now living in California, and SPH's Robinette, a burly brood doe that has recently had her first litter. While she's not perfect, she produces far better than herself. |
SPH's Largo
SPH's Canestrelli
Sire: SPH's Cotton - BEW
Dam: SPH's Cavalucci - Tort Variety: Tort VM Legs: Not showable Canestrelli is a beautifully typed doe with a big head, nice mass and bone and a beautiful wide chest. She is a Teddy and Pavanne granddaughter, and I couldn't be happier with the way these lines blended together. She currently has a litter and is a fantastic mother. I just love her pretty blue eyes and fun Vienna markings. |
Non-Vienna Carriers
Torts, Blacks, Blues and all other varieties
SPH's Wrecking Ball
Sire: Lund Lop's Powerball - Broken Tort - 3 GC legs, BIS winner
Dam: GC SPH's Fantasie - Broken Tort Variety: Broken Tort Legs: 2 Wrecking Ball is a very cute little doe that is following in her parent's pawprints. She's on the small side, but correct and balanced. I don't have many brokens, and when I get a nice one, they usually stick around. She goes back to GC Roehe's Twister on her maternal side, and some of the Lund's heavy hitters on her paternal side, including Kermit and Sugar Daddy. |
SPH's Lucy
Sire: LBF's Seth - Tort - 2 GC legs
Dam: Critter Co*Op's Georgina- Tort -
Variety: Tort
Legs: 3
BOB winner
#8 Solid Senior Doe 2017 Holland Lop Nationals
Lucy is such a cute little doe with a great body!. She's very balanced and smooth. She could use better crown placement and better width to her chest. I do love her overall depth and that type! She's a fantastic little doe. She is currently retired from showing and producing beautiful babies.
SPH's Remy
Sire: GC eligible Lund Lops Selleck - Tort
Dam: SPH's Chris - Tort Variety: Tort Legs: 6 This gorgeous doe had a spot on my show team for almost a year, earning several legs as a junior and a senior. She has since produced several nice offspring, including SPH's Squish and SPH's Tank Girl. She is currently bred and expecting in the next couple of weeks. |
SPH's Fantasie
Sire: GC Roehe's Twister - Broken Tort - 28 legs
Dam: Critter Co*Op Pavanne - Tort Variety: Broken Tort Legs: 8 This multiple Best of Breed winning doe has been one of the most competitive does I've produced. She's short and upright, poses like a champ, and is a petite package that looks massive. She's retired form the show table now and living as a brood doe in my rabbitry. |
SPH's Valentine
Sire: GC Roehe's Twister - Broken Tort - 28 legs Dam: SPH's Cyria - Tort Variety: Tort Legs: 4 Val is such a nice bodied doe. She showed for a bit and earned her GC eligibility, but her real worth is as a breeding doe. She is an RR Cyril granddaughter and is the only rabbit from that line that I have left. We are awaiting more litters from this pretty doe. |
SPH's Cavalucci
Sire: GC DTL's Teddy Graham - Tort
Dam: SPH's Christinna - Tort Variety: Tort Legs: not shown Cavalucci is such a short, upright and massive doe. She is such a correct little doe and I am thrilled with her development. Her sire Teddy is my best buck, and her mother, Christinna is a multiple generation home bred doe that goes back to GC Lund Lop's Selleck, LBF's Seth and LBF's Buster Brown, some of my earliest herd bucks. While she is slipped and tight of crown and average in bone, I absolutely love her. |
SPH's Wine Tank
Sire: SPH's Pinot Noir - Orange
Dam: SPH's Tank Girl - Tort Variety: Orange Legs: Not Shown Wine Tank is a gorgeous, clean orange with beautiful type and a beautiful head, ear and crown. I am thrilled to have gotten such a lovely doe from her father, (Ruger's full brother) before sending him to a youth breeder in California. I am looking forward to seeing what she produces! |
SPH's Ruce
Sire: SPH's Ruger - Chestnut
Dam: SPH's Lucille - Tort
Variety: Chestnut
Legs: Not Shown
Ruce is a very short and compact doe with correct type and a beautiful crown and ear set. She's a petite doe and because of that, wouldn't be overly competitive on the show table. I hope she will be valuable as a brood doe though, and hopefully will pass along her beautiful, correct type. She is currently bred and due for her first litter.

RR Reno
Sire: GC RR's -
Dam: RR's - Variety: Broken Tort Legs: 1 This pretty doe was one of the holands I brought home from the 2019 ARBA Convention in Reno. Her father is the 2018 BOB Convention winner, and his mother is RR Strudel, one of my foundation hollands that I sent back to Rachel Mastrangelo after she lost Strudel's BIS winning brother. Strudel was old at that time, close to 5, but she had one more litter for Rachel, resulting in Reno's father. She is expecting her first litter soon. |
Saynora's Bettina
Sire: Saynora's Sterling - Chinchilla
Dam: Saynora's Black Betty - Black Variety: Chestnut Legs: Not shown Bettina came to me in April of 2018 when her former owner's rabbits started dying from heat stroke. The owner refused to bring her rabbits inside to shelter from the 100 degree temperature, and asked me to come get them. Because this person also had rabbits purchased from me I didn't want dying a terrible death, I drove the 4 hours down to her residence in Tucson and 4 hours back to Prescott and bought a new cage tower to house these rabbits. While I rehomed most of the rabbits I rescued, I kept a couple of them that i thought could help my herd. Bettina is one of those keepers, and her outstanding body and natural, upright pose has been passed along to her offspring. |
Saynora's Fyodora
Sire: Saynora's Foley - Chestnut
Dam: NGF Paige - Opal Variety: Chestnut Legs: Not shown Fyodora is the other keeper from the batch of Tucson rescues, along with Saynora's Bettina, pictured above.. She's a valuable asset to my herd of brood does, and has produced consistent, nicely bodied offspring. She's getting old, and is still a productive herd member. Surprisingly, the Saynora line has crossed very nicely with my herd of predominantly west coast lines. |
BBB's Kyla
Sire: GC SPH's Merlot - Tort
Dam: L&R's - Broken Tort Variety: Broken Tort Legs: 4 Kyla is such a pretty, upright doe sired by the handsome GC SPH's Merlot. She came to me during the 2019 ARBA convention from the Breeding Better Bunnies rabbitry, who had Merlot for a few years and used him extensively as one of their main herd bucks. Kyla is now a brood doe, and has produced several GC offspring. |
SPH's Marvelous
Sire: BFE's Marvel - Tort
Dam: SPH's Praline - Tort Variety: Tort Legs: 1 - BOV 2021 WCC This pretty doe is an excellent example of the breed and an excellent show doe. She's easy to pose and handle, and seems to enjoy the attention. She has a nice head and crown, good mass and type and decent bone. I am glad to have gotten such a lovely doe from this pairing. |
