Netherland Dwarf Does
Below are the current does residing in my rabbitry and contributing to my Lutino development. They are not for sale unless noted. We use mostly Chestnut, black and an occasional otter to improve the Lutino type, but we also occasionally breed non-lutino gene carriers to each other to remain competitive on the show table and to continue to improve our breeding stock.
Lutinos and Lutino Carriers
GMtC's Machine Gun Massacre
Sire: Coin's Rudy - Black Otter
Dam: SPH's Scattershot - Broken Shadow Lutino Variety: Broken Chestnut - Lutino Carrier Legs: Not Shown Joint bred, Solid bodied brood doe that's out of my beloved Scattershot and Coin's Rudy. She has proven to be a fantastic mother and has even fostered other doe's kits. I like her width and mass as well as her correctly shaped head. Her bone is an improvement from her mother's, as is her hindquarters and loin. She's still young, and I'm hoping her head will get bigger. |
GMtC's Rudella
Sire: Coin's Rudy - Black Otter
Dam: SPH's Scattershot - Broken Shadow Lutino Variety: Broken Chestnut - Lutino Carrier Legs: Not Shown Another joint bred, pretty brood doe out of Scattershot and Rudy. Nice type and width to add to the lutino project. She's already produced 2 lutino babies in her first litter. |
Non Lutino Carriers
GMtC's Haiden
Sire: Rosie's Jackson - Broken Chestnut
Dam: Rosie's Melvira - Chestnut Variety: Chestnut Legs: Not Shown Haiden is a pretty doe from our (Leah Morales and Shianne Strickland) first litter of joint bred Netherland Dwarfs. She unfortunately can't be shown due to a large area of white fur that grew back after an injury as a junior. She is currently a brood doe in the rabbitry. |
