Britannia Petite Bucks
Below are the current bucks residing in my rabbitry and contributing to my Lutino development. They are not for sale unless noted. We use mostly Chestnut and black otter to improve the Lutino type, but we also occasionally breed non-lutino gene carriers to each other to remain competitive on the show table and to continue to improve our breeding stock.
Lutinos and Lutino Carriers
GMtC's Charmander
Sire: GMtC's Podsnappery - Chestnut F1
Dam: GMtC's Daddles - Chestnut F1 Variety: Shadow Lutino Legs: Not shown Charmander is an F2. This means he is the second generation of Britannia Petite project and is out of two F1's, half lutino Netherland Dwarf and half purebred Britannia Petite. He's a false dwarf and on the large side, but he has traits that will be useful for the next generation of F3 lutino carriers. Genetically, he is a chestnut that is displaying the lutino gene. He's a joint bred buck between Shianne Strickland and myself. |
Non-Lutino Carriers
GC Shianne's Here Comes the Sting
Sire: GC eligible SB's Strike - Chestnut
Dam: RAR's Sham - Broken Chestnut Variety: Broken Chestnut Legs: 6, RIS winner, BIS/RIS producer Sting is the backbone of the Brit herd. He's past his show prime, but consistently produces stellar offspring with his beautiful, bold head and eye. He has a very docile personality and a non-aggressive personality. I'm very lucky to have him as a herd buck. |
